IF you think there is something you can't do... you need to watch this video. God has given us all the ability to do amazing things. The love shown here from this Dad is unbelievable. I have heard stories about this family over the last year... but this video is powerful. just watch... it brought tears to my eyes.

busy busy busy

we have been busy. Doug has been dealing with the "run for the wall" for the vietnam veterans...and I have been working my first week of 12 hr shifts. so far soo good!
I am loving the place i am at....but still feel somewhat inadequate as i simply don't know how to use the "machines" they have... i even had a hard time figuring out how to turn off the nurse call light button! geesh!
however, i successfully started an IV... first stick... and it did great.
well, i don't have pictures of work... but i do have some shots from the harley shop... and the run for the wall... so check this out. Daniel played Revelle and Taps and ...something else. It was short... but awesome. When he played Taps...it was over several minutes...slow..and there was a horse and carrige pulling a casket. as a memorial to those fallen.

25 years

Well its our anniversary today...25 years. I can hardly believe it. We have been through some tough times over the years...and some good ones... seems like we keep that going like a roller coaster. ha... But I still enjoy being around him and doing activities with him... just like i did in the beginning. He is my friend. I feel blessed to have someone who cares about me... and our children...and is as family committed as he is. 25 years... wow. hopefully we will have many more years together.
we aren't doing anything for this anniversary as funds are a bit tight. however, i do feel later in the year that we should go somewhere and do something fun. Hey, maybe a cruise? i have never been on a cruise! hmmm.... i will have to think on that and other possible choices. Here is a pic of us.... 25 years ago today. (yeah... I was a bit smaller then huh?)

Who does the dishes? Me. or me. well, occ he will wash a couple of things. when he does i really have to praise him... he expects that.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed (when you are facing it)? me (but i don't snore)
Who pays the bills? me (and i hate every min of it... it stresses me out tremendously)
Who cooks dinner? Me
Who mows the lawn? he does... because the lawnmower is a pain to deal with. only he knows how and CAN start the thing... then it only steers to the right! ugh!
Who drives when you are together? He does. I insist.
Who has more friends? He does. I believe he actually knows EVERYONE
Who has more siblings? he does... 4 brothers/sisters.
Who wears the pants in the family? well, i can usually make the decisions. however, he might listen to me... but do the opposite. hmmm, guess that means he wears the pants huh?

AIR SHOW

Doug and I are headed to the Barksdale Air Force Base this weekend. the rest of the family will be here at home. Even though it is Mothers Day Weekend... seems something always comes up on this day... motorcyle races in the past... now the military vehicle restoration club.... ha... oh well. At least i get to eat "out"...ha.

dh has loaded the jeeps and is READY to go. i recieved my orders... that we will be leaving at 6am! sharp! (i have told the family the byes tonight... as no one wants to be awakened early!
